Tidio pricing: what live chat, Lyro AI and Flows cost
Yevhen Kurapov, co-founder · Updated Oct 13, 2026
Per Tidio's pricing page, live chat is free for 50 conversations a month, then $29 for 100, billed monthly. Lyro AI is separate: $39 a month for 50 conversations, up to $700 for 1,000; the free plan's 50 come once. Flows start at $29. Yearly billing gives two months free; new monthly projects auto-upgrade at 95% of a quota.
We make ChatPal, one of the tools below, and list its limits on the same terms as everyone else's.
Tidio sells three things separately: live chat for your team, an AI agent called Lyro, and automated Flows. Each has its own meter and its own price steps. Billed monthly, a small store pays $29 for live chat and $39 for 50 AI conversations; a store with 500 AI conversations a month pays $350 for Lyro alone.
Tidio's plans at a glance
All prices are in US dollars, per month, billed monthly, as shown on Tidio's pricing page on 13 October 2026. Billed yearly, two months are free (about 17% less).
| Package | Free | Paid plans | What it counts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer Service (live chat) | 50 conversations a month | Starter $29 for 100; Growth $59 for 250 up to $349 for 2,000; Plus from $300 | Conversations your team handles |
| Lyro AI Agent | 50 conversations, once | $39 for 50 up to $700 for 1,000; above that, Plus | Conversations where Lyro replies |
| Flows | 100 visitors reached a month | From $29 for 2,000 visitors reached | Visitors your automations reach |
| No Tidio branding | $20 add-on for Growth |
Every self-serve plan includes up to 10 agent seats, so a small team doesn't pay per person. Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp and email tickets are available from the free plan, and their conversations count toward the same limits. Telegram is only on Plus and Premium.
The Lyro steps, billed monthly:
| AI conversations a month | Price | Per conversation |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | $39 | $0.78 |
| 100 | $75 | $0.75 |
| 150 | $110 | $0.73 |
| 200 | $140 | $0.70 |
| 300 | $210 | $0.70 |
| 500 | $350 | $0.70 |
| 750 | $525 | $0.70 |
| 1,000 | $700 | $0.70 |
The per-conversation price stops falling at 200, so buying a bigger block than you need saves nothing.
How Lyro conversations are counted and sold
What counts. A Lyro conversation is any conversation, on any channel connected to Tidio, where Lyro replies at least once. It is counted once, however many times Lyro replies. Tidio's pricing FAQ says a return visit is still one conversation; its help center adds that a Lyro thread closes after 15 minutes of inactivity, and the next message starts a new thread that counts again. A customer who asks about sizes, goes to measure and writes back half an hour later is counted twice.
What doesn't count. A conversation Lyro hands straight to a person isn't deducted. On email tickets, Lyro replies once, to the first message. Lyro's replies don't count against your team's live chat quota either.
How it renews. A paid Lyro quota resets each month on the day you bought it. The free plan's 50 conversations are a one-time allowance: when they're gone, Lyro stops until you buy a package.
Your team's meter. The Customer Service plans count conversations a person on your team handles: a thread is counted when an agent who replied closes it, however many messages it took. That quota normally resets on the first day of the month. If you reach it, Tidio's help center says you can no longer reply to incoming messages, or see their details, until it resets or you upgrade. So a store that uses Lyro and also answers chats itself pays on two meters: the AI's conversations and the ones Lyro passes to your team.
What a Lyro package adds for a store
On a Shopify store, a paid Lyro package (or the 7-day trial) turns on product recommendations: Tidio imports your products, and Lyro suggests them as cards with a picture, name, price and an Add to cart button that lists the variants. The free plan's 50 one-time conversations don't include it. Lyro also knows which product page the visitor is on, so it doesn't have to ask which item they mean.
So for a store, the useful comparison isn't $39 against nothing: it's what those product answers are worth to you against another tool's price for the same job.
Three example bills
Each example is a made-up store, billed monthly, on the smallest steps that cover the month. Where we compare with ChatPal, we assume the AI writes three replies per conversation, because ChatPal counts replies, not conversations. Count the replies in your own chats before you rely on that.
1. A small store: 40 AI conversations, 60 for the team. Lyro's free 50 cover the first month only. After that, Lyro's 50 step is $39, and 60 team conversations are more than the free plan's 50, so Starter at $29. Total: $68 a month, or about $57 billed yearly. On ChatPal, 40 conversations at three replies is 120 replies: the $20 plan, and your team's replies don't use that allowance.
2. A growing store: 200 AI conversations, 150 for the team. Lyro's 200 step is $140 and Growth's 250 step is $59. Add $20 if you want Tidio's name off the chat. Total: $199 to $219 a month. On ChatPal, 600 replies need the $50 plan.
3. A busy season: 600 AI conversations, 400 for the team. 600 is more than Lyro's 500 step, so you need 750 at $525, plus Growth's 400 step at $89. Total: $614 a month. If you were on the 500 step with automatic upgrade on, Tidio moves you to 750 when you reach 475. On ChatPal, 1,800 replies need the $120 plan.
These comparisons favour ChatPal only if our three-replies guess holds: a store whose customers write long back-and-forth chats uses more replies per conversation, and Tidio's conversation count doesn't change with length.
Automatic upgrades
Tidio's automatic upgrade moves a package to its next step before you hit the limit. Per Tidio's help center:
- it applies only to new projects, on a standard (not Plus) monthly plan, after you've bought a subscription. Annual plans, Plus, the free plan and trials aren't upgraded;
- it covers all three meters: team conversations, Lyro conversations and Flows visitors;
- at 80% of a quota you get an email and a notice in the panel; at 95% the package moves to the next step, for example live chat from 250 conversations to 400;
- it is on by default. To switch it off, click Upgrade in the top right of your Tidio panel and untick Automatically upgrade the limit once it's reached under each package.
Leaving it on keeps the chat open for customers when you reach a quota. Switching it off caps your bill, but Lyro pauses at the quota and your team can't reply once the live chat quota is used.
When Tidio is the right buy
Tidio fits well if your customers write by email as well as chat and you want both in one inbox, or if several people answer and you don't want to pay per seat. Lyro's count per conversation also favours long chats: a customer who asks five follow-up questions in a row without a break still costs one conversation.
It fits less well when the AI's volume is high or seasonal: every 100 Lyro conversations cost about $70, and a December spike moves you up a step. If your customers write mostly on Telegram, the channel needs Plus.

Ways to spend less on Tidio
- Read a month of usage before you pick a Lyro step. Click Usage and plan in the top right of the Tidio panel. Above 200 conversations every step costs about $0.70 each, so buy what you use.
- Pay yearly if your volume is steady. Two months free, but annual plans don't upgrade automatically, so a busy month can hit the cap.
- Hand off early on questions Lyro can't answer. A conversation Lyro hands straight to a person isn't counted against Lyro, though it does count on your team's meter.
- Watch for split conversations. If customers often come back after a break, each return after 15 minutes of silence is a new Lyro conversation. Check your usage against the number of customers who wrote.
- Skip add-ons you don't need. Branding removal is $20 a month on Growth, and Flows is a separate package if you only need answers, not automated campaigns.
- Compare a per-reply tool if your chats are short. If most AI conversations are one or two replies, a tool that counts replies can cost less; if they are long, Lyro's per-conversation count usually works out lower.
If you're weighing a move, Tidio alternatives compares these tools in more detail, and AI chatbot pricing prices one store's month on seven tools. For ChatPal on a Shopify store, see ChatPal for Shopify.
